One of the easiest and most meaningful ways to engage with OHFAMA is in your own backyard by attending a local Academy meeting. As a regional components of the state association, Academies provide valuable opportunities for networking, professional development, and connection close to home. Best of all, when you join OHFAMA, you automatically become a member of your local Academy.
This year, President Dr. Joy Rowland and Executive Director Luci Ridolfo, CAE joined every Academy in-person for one of their meetings. OHFAMA leaders connected directly with members, heard their perspectives, and shared how OHFAMA works every day to protect and advance podiatry in Ohio.
"I always say I'm just a phone call away," shared Executive Director Luci Ridolfo."Visiting every Academy gives the the opportunity to connect with our members face-to-face and hear directly how we can serve them. OHFAMA is the only professional association for podiatric physicians in Ohio, and we take that responsibility seriously. Visiting with Academies keeps the needs of our members at the center of everything we do."
Driving over 1,700 miles each, Dr. Joy Rowland and Luci Ridolfo connected with over 125 OHFAMA members.
Whether you're looking to explore a new career opportunity, find with a mentor, or make new professional connections, Academy meetings are the perfect way to make the most of your membership.
While most Academy meetings have wrapped up for the fall, mark your calendars to attend next spring. OHFAMA leadership may be there too, ready to listen and share what's new at OHFAMA.
